In DJ Mag's 2026 Top 100 DJs fan vote, Belgium has five DJs and Brazil four. Sorted by country and divided by population, Belgium is second per person, the US sinks to 0.3 per 10 million – and China, a top voting country, has none.

Small countries punch far above their size in DJ Mag's fan vote; huge ones barely show.

  • DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs is a public vote – “the world's largest publicly voted music poll”, where anyone can name five DJs. The 2026 results came out on 7 October 2026: David Guetta won for a record sixth time, and votes came from a record 234 territories. DJ Mag Latinoamérica says the US and China cast some of the largest numbers of votes.
  • Our count of the 2026 list by country (from DJ Mag's artist profiles; dual-nationality acts counted where they grew up): the Netherlands 22, the UK 13, the US 11, Germany 11, Belgium 5, France 5, Italy 5, Australia 4, Brazil 4, Sweden 3. No DJ in the list is from China or India – and India has 1.46 billion people (World Bank, 2025).
  • Per 10 million people (computed with World Bank 2025 populations): the Netherlands 12.2, Belgium 4.2, Sweden 2.8, the UK 1.9, Germany 1.3, Portugal 0.9, the US 0.3, Brazil 0.2, Japan 0.1. That is one top-100 DJ for every 822,000 Dutch people and one for every 31 million Americans.
  • Belgium's five: Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (No. 5; world No. 1 in 2015 and 2019), Charlotte de Witte (No. 6, the highest-placed woman), Lost Frequencies (17), Amelie Lens (47) and MATTN (92). Sweden's three: Swedish House Mafia (34), Alesso (56) and Eric Prydz (62).
  • Portugal's only DJ in the list is Padre Guilherme, a Catholic priest, new at No. 79. Japan's is Yousuke Yukimatsu, new at No. 95 – one DJ for 123 million people. The highest new entry was Britain's Josh Baker at No. 40.
